Preparing Your Building for Heating Oil Delivery
Delivery coordination works best when the property contact and supplier have consistent, accurate information before a truck is dispatched.
Verify the delivery address
Use the exact street address, borough or municipality, ZIP code, building name where relevant, and an authorized phone contact. For apartment buildings, distinguish the mailing address from the actual fuel fill location if they differ.
Document access instructions
Note gates, locked areas, fill points, loading or parking restrictions, and the person authorized to provide access. Do not promise street or loading access that has not been confirmed with the property.
Confirm the order details
Review the fuel grade or blend, estimated gallons, quote terms, and preferred delivery timing. Actual delivery dates are subject to confirmation. Keep a record of the order and delivery documentation.
